Abstract

The development of automation technology in industry grew rapidly expand along with the progress of time. Earlier in the electric motor speed settings for applications lift /
elevator only use a manual speed control, played a pulley size, or gearbox. However, at this time, is already available control device that can control the speed of motors AC 3 Phase, the inverter drive. Inverter drive is able to adjust the speed by changing the frequency and
voltage values on 3 phase AC motor, inverter drive also has advantages as soft starting, braking 3-phase AC motor, the system also behind a 3 phase AC motor rotation.
In this test, the slip speed between rotor stator with the smallest of 35% occurred at a frequency of 4.4 Hz value with 2397.2 grams load when the elevator moves up, while the
biggest slip amounting to 67% where the value of the frequency of 2.5 Hz with a load of 1549, 8 grams when the elevator moves up. Slip smallest valued at 1,125 Hz frequency with a frequency value of 2.5 Hz with a load of 700 grams when the elevator down, while the biggest slip worth 3.21 Hz frequency with a frequency of 4.4 Hz with a value of 2397.2 grams load when the elevator moves up.
