Abstract

One type of motor that is often regulated speed is a DC motor, motor rotation speed is often not constant. The maximum speed of the motor occurs when the motor is not loaded. Motor speed is much reduced when there is a load. This indicates that the maximum rotation speed is the speed at which the motor is getting full load. The time span where the spinning motor without load is significant. If the
motor speed at that time can be reduced, electricity consumption will decrease. Speed regulation can be done by changing the DC voltage. From the results of the research that the system created can only control and monitor the DC motor rotational speed by selecting a predetermined value at an interval of 700 RPM - 3300 RPM. This DC motor rotating speed control system uses open loop control which results in the reading not being used as feedback as control.
