Abstract

Transformers are expected to work on the desired performance. Therefore, before the transformer is used in the electric power system, it is necessary to do a series of tests on the power transformer. Through several tests,
such as rutine testing and some transformer testing equipment such as ratio tests, resistance, megger and dielectric breakdown. From the results of the dielectric test, there is a failure between the HV to Earth side and indicates that the quality of the transformer is in poor condition or that there is damage in the tap changer section, this can be seen from the quality of the tap changer. The results of the demolition found a discrepancy in the OCTC and visible cracks in the OCTC section and the results of the ratio testing were still within the tolerance limit of 0.5%.
